Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi (Manhua) Vol. 1

I read the manhua two years ago, saw the anime and live amazing adaptations ( with Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan) and now I'm reading these official translations. For me, it's impossible to separate the reading of this novel from his fond memories of its live action adaptation The Untamed. I'm so in love with this story. The strengths of the novel that stood out for me included the subtle and witty bantering dialogues and hilarious interactions between the two lead characters Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji ( commonly referred to by fans as WangXian). The loyal and enduring friendship between them, the complex politics that surround the various cultivation clans and sects, the constant questioning of the meaning of good and evil and of course the love and familial bonds. If you are new to the series, I would recommend frequently referencing the glossary of terms and names. It's very helpful. For me though, it was nothing less than a full five star read and I can't wait for the sequels to come out.

2. kniha autorky. A moje druhá nejoblíbenější hned po TGCF. Konečně v oficiálním překladu. Prostě nesmí v knihovně chybět žádnému fanouškovi MXTX. Po letech čtení neoficiálních překladů máme k dispozici tohle neskutečné zpracování. Knížka (stejně tak TGCF a SVSSS) je nádherně zpracovaná. Ty detaily! A "průvodce" na konci je skvělým bonusem- vysvětlivky postav, míst, žánru,atd. Naprosto dokonalé.

Grandmaster of demonic cultivation ( v originále Mo Dao Zu Shi) je pro mě osobně srdcová záležitost. Před dvěma lety jsem viděla všechny díly anime, zamilovala se do filmového zpracování The Untamed ( s výborným hereckým obsazením, především tedy Wang Yibo a Xiao Zhan byli úžasní), nedávno jsem dočetla všech pět dílů novel a posledním článkem je krásně zpracovaná manhua. I přesto, že se jedná o poměrně složitý příběh s čínským folklórem, intrikami, složitými charaktery, kultivací, politikou a složitými komplexními vztahy, angličtina je poměrně jednoduchá a snadno se do příběhu ( i díky krásnému zpracování) ponoříte. Skvělé dialogy mezi hlavními protagonisty Wei Wuxianem a Lan Wangjim ( fandomem označován jako WangXian) chytnou za srdce každého čtenáře. Já osobně jsem mnohdy vyloženě brečela smíchy. Celý svět démonské kultivace je velice propracovaný, obsahující komplexní a složité rodinné vztahy, morální dilemata, přátelství, politiku, intrikování, lásku a skvělé charaktery, které si nelze nezamilovat. Wei Wuxian a Lan Wangji vás rozbrečí, rozesmějí, mnohdy vám vyloženě vyrvou srdce z těla.. aby je vzápětí opět vrátili. „Wei Wuxian je mrtvý!!!“
