Popis

Following a piece of serendipity, Yorkshire Vet, Julian Norton, finds himself working from his new practice in Wetherby. Most of the tales in this book relate to this new and exciting adventure, with old friends and colleagues, in pastures new. Covid, cowpox, calving, caesareans, foot-and-mouth reflections, tetanus, neospora and shaggy ink caps all play their part in this entertaining book with plenty of bovine stories abound. Plus: rounding sheep; a hen that walks like John Cleese; vitamin injections for sick cheetah cubs; Jessie the cat gets cowpox; fox poo and a decomposing porpoise; Rowan the llama; Ishmael the parakeet; Jill the polecat; Lola the French bulldog; Cola the Shih Tzu; Rodney the chameleon; Candy the snake; Pigely the pig; Rocco the young Rhodesian ridgeback; Godzilla the angry Rottweiler; and many more!New Pastures for a Yorkshire Vet continues Julian’s ‘Diary’ series taken from his Yorkshire Post column. Written in the charming manner familiar to those who have watched the Channel 5 hit series The Yorkshire Vet, this book is a fun and enjoyable read. Beautifully produced and illustrated throughout.
