Popis

This is the first in a new series of historical fiction that is somewhere between "Treasure Island" and "Black Sails" that will be cross marketed by the tabletop game "Blood and Plunder"Eamon Maguire has captined the pirate brigantine Bonnie Kate through the Caribbean for thirty years. Having fled his war-wracked homeland with ship and crew, they have carved a new home for themselves out of the lawless seas of the New World. Having joined The Squadron, a loose confederation of buccaneers sailing out of Tortuga, Captain Maguire and his crew live a life free of the yoke of Old World dominion, loyal only to their captain and to each other. It is a hard but happy life. But the Old World has not forgotten the New. As the eternal wars of Europe are left to simmer, the Powers turn their attention back to the wealth of the New World. Those who sail beneath the black flags are put on notice: set aside thier barbaric ways and join their loyal countrymen or sink into the depths of oblivion. As pressure builds, more and more pirates join ranks with thier former hunters. Can The Squadron remian true? Or will Captain Maguire have no choice but to answer the call, submit to the enemies of his youth, and set the Bonnie Kate''s course for Jamaica? Based on the history of piracy and the game, Blood and Plunder, from Firelock Games.
