In later sections, she delves into unwanted-sexual desire, also harming obsessions. She examines the "luring" towards evil for people who have religious obsessions and explores the distinction that confuses suicide-obsessive-thoughts with suicide ideation. Carol uncovers facts that unravel a bio-behavioural mystery and shares personal insights to lessen the impact on therapists who fear they have no more options to explore. She says, 'When the usual psychological treatments fail, there is a reason.' Finally, when all psychological therapies prove unsuccessful, one of the up-to-date and accepted treatment options now available is deep brain stimulation (DBS).
