Popis

This flawed hero shows that God uses failures in his church for his own glory.

Thomas CranmerÂ’s life is perhaps best known for a decision he made that he later regretted and deeply repented of. But his final legacy is the truth that he held on to the last.

Uncover his involvement in the religious and political upheavals of the 16th century. He courageously navigated the treacherous waters of Henry VIIIÂ’s court and marriages, aided the separation of the Church of England from Roman Catholic authority and was instrumental in the development of the Book of Common Prayer, which brought uniformity and accessibility to English worship practices.

Compelling storytelling draws young readers into the dramatic events of CranmerÂ’s life, including his trials and eventual martyrdom under Queen Mary I. Despite facing intense persecution, CranmerÂ’s steadfast faith and dedication to reforming the church never wavered and he had a lasting impact on English spirituality and worship.
