Everybody who is anybody is seen at the glittering parties held in millionaire Jay Gatsby's mansion in West Egg, east of New York. Kniha jak pro teenagery, tak i pro dospělé. Kniha je o lásce, i když se smutným koncem. Přesto se mi velmi dobře četla.

Překladatel díla Francise Scotta Fitzgeralda dokázal bravurně zachytit jemné záchvěvy duše tohoto amerického spisovatele. Dokonce dokázal také velmi dobře jazykově oddělit text Fitzgeraldův a jeho chotě. Kniha také donucuje čtenáře přemýšlet nad jakousi dynamikou typickou pro ztracenou generaci.
