Popis

Two young men and a female nurse are caught in the middle of a global conflict. They seek to normalise their lives through affection for their colleagues and a healthy disrespect for authority. Caught in the midst of a secret government project, they heroically organise games and food for their colleagues.

This story of ordinary people in extraordinary times reveals more about the characters than they would like to reveal.

An aeroplane navigator, Maps is the type of man that men would like to be like, and women would like to be with. He is charged with mentoring his pilot Chipper.

Victoria is an English rose, whose attitude and demeanour are shaped by a strange and dominant father, yet are tempered by the affection of everyone she meets.

Maps and Victoria are irresistibly drawn to each other. However, officialdom and government rules contrive to keep them apart. Fate has other plans.

The Best-Laid Plans reveals that even in the midst of a war there is much that we all have in common.
