While traveling on a ship, a Swiss pastor, his wife and four sons encounter a violent storm that abruptly transports them to a tropical island. They attempt to navigate the desolate shore but face looming danger and an unforeseen presence.

A family venture turns into a survival effort when a ship is damaged during a tropical storm. A father, mother and four sons stumble across a small island that appears to be uninhabited. They set up camp, complete with makeshift housing, to protect against the elements. While exploring the territory, they gather food and other creature comforts. During their stay, the family is met with various challenges that will test their faith in God and each other.

The Swiss Family Robinson is Johann David Wyss’ literary masterpiece that’s been passed down from generation to generation. The story found its biggest audience in the twentieth century with the 1960 feature film produced by Walt Disney Pictures.
