Architectural styles range from medieval wooden stalls to the asymmetrical stainless steel and glass of the twenty-first century, and notable architects include Sir Christopher Wren, Nicholas Hawksmoor, Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, Sir Edwin Lutyens, Arne Jacobsen and Zaha Hadid.
