Popis

Every surface in the world is a cloak-and-dagger canvas for Mr. Brainwash’s franchise of the mind. In 2006 Mr. Brainwash set aside his video camera and quickly became renowned in the burgeoning street art scene alongside Banksy, Shepard Fairey and Invader. Brought to wider attention by Banksy’s 2010 documentary film Exit Through the Gift Shop, Mr. Brainwash’s massive solo art shows have attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors globally and his works have become desirable collector’s items. This illustrated volume – the first full treatment of the artist – reflects the boundless positivity and radiant world of Mr. Brainwash. Playful and colourful, hinting mischief, each work is a journey through his pop culture wonderland. This first paperback edition is an updated version of the popular 2018 publication, containing a rich selection of works made across the years, alongside critical essays by art historians Eleanor Heartney and Donald Kuspit. This portable edition with 16 extra pages showcases the artist's latest works including giant Beverly Hills origami sculptures and the Mr. Brainwash Museum in LA.
