Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi, vol. 5

Hned na začátek se musím přiznat k jedné věci. Před dvěma lety jsem četla manhuu, shlédla jsem všechny série vynikajícího anime a samozřejmě i neméně úžasné zpracování seriálu The Untamed (s autentickým Xiao Zhanem a Wang Yibem) a teď konečně dočítám tyto oficiální překlady novel. A jelikož jsem do všeho ohledně univerza démonské kultivace citově angažovaná, ztrácím veškerou schopnost kritizovat. WangXian je totiž pravděpodobně jedna z nejlepších a zároveň nejpoetičtějších romancí, jaké jsem kdy četla. Láska mezi oběma je takzvaně "slow burn" ale věřte mi, vyplatí se vydržet. Lan Wangji i Wei Wuxian jsou ultimátními protiklady, které se neustále přitahují a já musím téměř kacířsky říct, že miluji každičkou interakci, letmý dotyk i slovní přestřelku. A i přesto, že HuaLian pro mě také mají svoje kouzlo a chemii, WangXian jsem si prostě zamilovala. Svět démonské kultivace je bezesporu bohatý, vykreslený do těch nejmenších detailů ( se všemi zvláštnostmi i zákonitostmi). A i přesto, že autorka přivádí čínský folklór k životu, angličtina je poměrně jednoduchá a krásné ilustrace celkový dojem z knihy jen umocňují. V tomto bodě bych chtěla vypíchnout fakt, že mě možná malinko zamrzelo to množství nedokončených dějových linek ( především tedy Wei Wuxian a můj milovaný Jian Cheng). Ale jak už jsem zmínila na začátku, v tomto případě opravdu ztrácím veškerou schopnost kritizovat. Závěrem mi tedy nezabývá než se rozloučit větou.. „I don't cry because it's over, I smile because it's hapened."

I read the manhua two years ago, saw the anime and live amazing adaptations The Untamed ( with Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan) and now I'm reading these official translations. For me, I really lose all ability to critique because I'm so emotionally attached to the ship. It's probably one of the best romances I have ever read. I adore Wei Wuxian and seeing his past life and current life. The love between WangXian is quite a slow burn but well worth the wait. These two characters are the ultimate opposites attract and I loved every bit of it. Also the universe portrayed in the series is vast and rich with many details, bringing Chinese folklore and mythology to life. Even though I was saddened by the number of unfinished storylines (mainly Jin Ling x Wei Wuxian relationship and my beloved Jian Cheng x Wei Wuxian) this is a story of epic proportions that deserves not to be forgotten.
