Crosscheck

A clean, character-driven hockey romance about a hard-hitting pro player and the schoolteacher who upends his carefully guarded life. Single-dad warmth, found-team friendship and slow-building chemistry in an uplifting sports romance series. He Plays Rough. She Plays for Keeps. Six professional hockey players once played on an elite club team together. Now they've scattered across the pro leagues. Not all of them were friends, yet circumstances bring them back together, and for the greater good, maybe they can put aside their differences. Zane Winchester is a beast on the ice, known for racking up penalties and delivering hard blows. No one would suspect the complicated nature of his personal life, or just what it entails. And no one, not even him, could've predicted what one unexpected encounter with a remarkable woman would do to his life. Mara Matthews is a regular woman with a regular job and a regular life. Then she meets the father of one of her little students, and regular becomes the last word to describe her world. Zane is intense, funny, charming, and drop-dead gorgeous; he shouldn't pay any attention to someone like her. But Zane isn't giving up, and Mara doesn't want him to. Crosscheck is the fourth book in the Northbrook Hockey Elite series, for readers who love clean sports romance, single-dad heroes, teacher heroines and slow-burn chemistry. Perfect for fans of Lucy Score, Lauren Layne and Penny Reid. Praise for the Northbrook Hockey Elite series? ? ? ? ? I loved the Belltown series which was romance with a side of baseball, now we get romance with a side of hockey. ? ? ? ? ? The plot moved along with fun twists and I kept wanting to read just one more chapter. ? ? ? ? ? This is a clean sports romance that features siblings of the Bell Town Six and more. We get to catch up on all the previous characters and meet new ones to set up this new series. ? ? ? ? ? I liked the way the relationship built throughout the book and both characters growing through their experiences. ? ? ? ? ? One of my favorite things about this series is that everyone seems down to earth, real and easy to relate to. ? ? ? ? ? Whether you are a fan of hockey or not, don't hesitate to read this book. ? ? ? ? ? I would recommend this to anyone who loves sports and a good romantic read.
