You´ve Found Oliver Dustin Thao

Just so you know, the book hasn't been translated into Czech yet, so you can only find it in its original language – English. I was looking for the book itself for a really long time. Probably ever since its release was announced, until I finally got lucky in Ostrava, and voilà. I was super curious about the portrayal of Oliver and, most importantly, the continuation of Julie's story, whom we could see as the main character back in the first book, "You've Reached Sam." When it comes to the story, though, I have to say it wasn't exactly what I expected... Sam was a great experience full of emotions, and with Haru, I cried for 20 minutes straight like never before, so they set the bar really high for the third book. Still, I felt like something was missing... At the beginning, the story was heartwarming, sweet, innocent, and started off really well. But after meeting Ben, it went downhill. I felt like the situations kept repeating themselves over and over, and the story wasn't going anywhere. (Spoiler) It was almost as if it got stuck in the same time loop as Oliver (end of spoiler). I only started enjoying the book near the end, when we finally got some resolution, and that was just the last 3–4 chapters, mind you. I'm sad that I expected a lot from it and it didn't live up to my expectations. Either way, I have to praise the great (and original) concept and the writing style yet again. The book is a really easy read, even though this time there were quite a few philosophical and technical terms, but it wouldn't be the same without them, right? Great for a light read. And if you like multiple universes, parallel worlds, time loops, or LGBT romance books that will touch your heart, I definitely recommend reading Oliver. With a heavy heart, I give it this rating
