Překladatel díla Francise Scotta Fitzgeralda dokázal bravurně zachytit jemné záchvěvy duše tohoto amerického spisovatele. Dokonce dokázal také velmi dobře jazykově oddělit text Fitzgeraldův a jeho chotě. Kniha také donucuje čtenáře přemýšlet nad jakousi dynamikou typickou pro ztracenou generaci.
