It also explains the primary elements of construction and structure from first principles, using clear diagrams and drawings. Students will be able to make daily use of this little book in their design and building technology studios. Recommended in the first year at numerous architecture schools, this handy volume has been extensively revised and updated in this new edition. Miriam Delaney teaches at University College Dublin in the design and technology studios, and lectures in architectural technologies and History and Theory. She was recently also a Teaching Fellow at Queen’s University Belfast. Anne Gorman has over ten years experience in architecture practice and seven years teaching experience in design and technology studios at University College Dublin, where she also lectures in architectural technologies.
