This book was included in the syllabus for my art history class at a vocational school here in the Czech Republic. It’s the most unprofessionally written history book I’ve ever read, with facts and dates slightly off and sexist comments spicing up the whole opus (why does the quote “If you want to keep friendship... stay away from women.” open the chapter on Egyptian art, what's the connection?). I firmly believe this book should be taken off any syllabi in this country--it’s potentially damaging to young people’s minds.
